Also, a friend of mine is interested in going to this event as a Larper. However they won't know if they can go until Friday. Would they be able to sign up and pay fully on the day if there are spaces left? Unfortunately there isn't really an option at the moment other than paying the 15 deposit and risking it. I'll talk to Seamus but I can probably tell you the answer now. EDIT: I was just talking to Seamus and we'll accept bookings up to 1200 on Friday but at that point we need to take a final cut of the booking list. So if he's in by then he's a go.

I'll be coming from Dundrum, near the shopping centre. I know Dundrum well (grew up there, parents still live there.) I don't mind coming over that way, grabbing you and then going out M50 and then Northbound. Meet you at the shopping center (I assume you mean the new one!) if you like? If your friend is coming I don't mind bringing him too.

@ Diehard: is there a space left in your car? If so could I have it please? I'm in Templeogue. I fold up small.

I'm going up Friday in the Larp Rover though my travel times may not be convenient for everyone.

Right then... I suspect this is an early start for folk Leave house at 7.15 and grab you, Alexandria, around 7.30. Head out to Dundrum and grab Xander plus potential buddy which makes for four in the car. Head out to Dundalk. Alexandria, I know you're good for tent. Xander, do I need to bring the 2-bedroom or can I get away with packing lighter? I'll bring the gas burner as well. Tea is good. Should I bring the walkie talkies? Might be a good idea to swap this to email right around now. I'm kshandr squiggly a g mail full stop com.

I'm in contact with Alexandria. Xander - no word from you about pick-ups in Dundrum tomorrow morning? Please drop me a line to confirm.
Can anyone PM me contact details for Xander's player in case he's not reading here?

Awesome. You have a reply.
Hey Major K - if you haven't left for site yet, are bio-BBs available at Bellurgan still? I'd forgotten it was a bio-only site.

HobbyAirsoft will be there and should have bios. If you're stuck I'll have some high quality .2s with me.

Back from Rionegro. Thanks Major K for marshalling us!
Everyone should totally go next year - here's the awesome moments I was frothing about on Facebook:
* Trying (and failing) to escape our shitty banana republic country with two barrels of medicine and thirty three thousand US Dollars. * The great Irish tea divide. * Arguing with a soldier about how we weren't going to accept his apology for shooting our priest because he and his unit should be well-trained enough to keep their battle out of our bloody village. * Trying to persuade the U.N to give us the medicine barrel that we knew was ours, from the truck that had gotten stuck in the mud outside our village (for reals!) when they wanted to take it back to their base and look at it, then send it back to us. * Our priest, who went from pious, to a firm ally to a psychotic pistol-wielding lunatic over the course of 27 hours * The bonfire late at night. And the tea. * The Greater Hissing Beetle.
Thanks to Higher Powers for letting us spam the forum - we'll be good, quiet children now! And we totally talked about nothing else but Higher Powers during our post-Rionegro BBQ burger and sausages!

Thanks for coming!
My moments: * Hiding behind the alter waiting for a last stand that didn't come * "This is Lyons tea isn't it" * The lone Patriota sitting around the campire having tea with us when [over 9000] Republicanos showed up for a chat * The immediate assumption that the Mayor had abandoned us just because he was "away on business" * The entire Domiguan Second Airborne forming up and marching into town for mass * Twin autopistols * The Greater Hissing Beetle
My brain still isn't fully recovered

Rionegro was awesome, thanks Major K for being a great marshall My highlights: • Some of the players brought an actual, real, proper helicopter with them. • The fun of being the only unarmed person out of the 200 there; then running into a fire-fight to help someone who wasn’t a villager, finding out that the person who was shouting was fine, noticing the member of the secret police that was suddenly beside me with a pair of handcuffs in one hand, suddenly realising that I may have ran into a trap and then being handed 100 dollars instead and was told to “buy yourself some nice medical supplies” in the same tone of voice as one uses to say “buy yourself some nice shoes dear”. And then the rest of the village giving out to me for healing someone who had been shooting us and being told to stop healing everyone in sight. • Getting shot and very nearly bleeding out as whoever shot me carefully kept the door to the hut I was hiding in shut so no-one would see me. Getting bandaged up at 4:30 minutes by someone who told me their regiment 3-4 times and I still don’t remember which one it was, wandering with the others to the UN and back and then finding myself staring blankly around once we’d returned to the village and Nick’s character Eddie realising I’d been in shock for the last 35 minutes and sitting me down by the fire with a cup of tea. • When the UN truck full of barrels of medicine actually got stuck in the mud right beside us and we went to ask if this was the stuff they’d promised us two hours ago and then setting Nick on them until they caved in. • Whoever tried to kill me by yelling medic and then opening fire on full auto…and then completely failing to hit me. • Making friends with other factions by constantly having a boiled kettle, a choice in tea brands and a fairly substantial stock of biscuits. • The evening’s entertainment: pretty bonfire; watching Nick sell a metal detector for about 25 times its actual worth; four of us hiding behind the altar in the church at one in the morning hoping we weren’t going to be found and shot. • Escaping a war-torn country lugging two barrels of medicine and escaping 33,000 dollars. • The Greater Hissing Beetle: “you’ve made it angry and now you can’t find it”.

• Escaping a war-torn country lugging two barrels of medicine and escaping 33,000 dollars. Escaping a war-torn country and FAILING to lug two barrels of medicine. I'm tempted to go back and carry them the rest of the way just to get it out of my mind. This is how the bad guy in the movies feels when he has to drop his briefcase full of cash and grab the hero's hand and he doesn't and falls to his death.
